This sweet baby will be coming this spring. She or he will be welcomed even more than the blooming flowers! Welcome, welcome!

Safari Baby Shower
They celebrated sweet baby Cash in wild safari style! I mixed zebras, elephants and giraffes with some large leaves to follow suit with the invitation! Playful and adorable is always a good match for a baby shower!
Harry Potter Baby Shower
There are a lot of us out there who adore Harry Potter and his magical world. This expectant mom is especially inclined toward Gryffindor colors. Soon, this new little muggle will be snuggled and celebrate making his or her own magic in the world.
Bear in Mind
Theodore R M was born on February the 11th! Happy, healthy babies are a great reason to celebrate! These cookies are for a bit belated baby shower celebrating Teddy (that’s what they are going to call him!). Naturally, a teddy bear theme was perfect for the occasion.
The teddy bears (panda bear cutter from Bobbi’s Cookie Cutters) started with a base coat of brown. Using Lila Loa‘s book for guidance, I mixed chocolate brown with purple to achieve the desired color. Once that was dry, I dabbed on some spots of same color icing and stippled with a stiff brush to achieve the “teddy bear texture.”
I let that dry for 1 hour and added the arms, nose and feet. After drying overnight, I stippled the arms and added hands.
Simple eye and nose details were added last, along with the rosy cheeks. The flower was made using wafer paper and a Martha Stewart (I think) Recollections punch (from Michaels). I painted them silver with a blue center (to match other cookie highlights ). Flowers were incorporated to match the invitation.
The stencil airbrushed on the 2 other cookies can be found at Killer Zebras.
Boy, Oh Boy
There are some people in life that you just HAVE to admire. These cookies are heading to a baby shower celebrating the coming of their FOURTH boy! Holy testosterone! (As you can tell, we have a mere two children. And I was pretty happy to have the energy for them….).
Blue and the number 4 were interwoven throughout the set. I added a little silver bling because everybody deserves a little bling (especially a mom of four!). The “4” cutter is part of the zebrawood cutter set from SheyB ! They have such fast and friendly service!
This little outfit cutter is my current favorite. Can’t get over how adorable it is. Thank you Kaleida Cuts (so many designs to take advantage of!)!!! The clever technique is from the genius Tammy Holmes. Utterly brilliant design. Utterly delicious eye candy.
Every boy in this family has a name that begins with the letter “C.” The fourth will as well. And heaven forbid that I not take advantage of a chance to word play. I knew love was in the foreseeable future…
Trunk Show
Baby showers are such happy occasions. Happy events make for happy cookies! I kept with their blue, grey, and elephant theme and tried not to put any junk in that trunk.
Little Boy Blue (ok, teal…)
Boy, oh boy, more beautiful baby boys!
Baby Lambros’s September 10th arrival left us starry eyed! His room is neutral with teal accents so that was the color inspiration for this cookie platter.
Here they are in process with the stork delivery not quite ready…
Boy oh boy, he’s here!!
Details of the bib and the bottle. Thank you Hillary (aka the Cookie Countess) for the stencil! Some day I will own an airbrush machine. Until then, it’s a fairly.dry.paint.brush for me!
Final presentation…
Oh Baby, Baby!
Auto.matic Love
It’s always about the story… Long ago, the parents vacationed in Italy and got to tour the Ferrari auto factory. As they heard the whole story, they fell in love with the name Enzo. Two lovely little girls later, along comes their beloved Enzo… aaaand the car and driver themed baby cookie set. I hope Enzo Ferrari would be proud.
PS: Everyone should learn how to drive a manual transmission. So much fun. Really, really.
Oh Boy!
Something in the water. Lots and lots of baby boys lately. For this 20 cookie order, I was given some wonderful details with which to work. Like the fact that Caelan had arrived on his actual due date. I cannot remember that last time I heard of that happening. Thus, the cookie in the back (sorry, forgot to take an individual pic) had 3 speech bubbles: due date: Apr 7 arrival date: Apr 7 ‘this boy already has his act together’. You know how I love a good play on words. This resulted in the SONshine cookie. I wanted to use springlike colors so I used a nice robin egg blue with a happy Easter egg yellow as the color theme. Cute, eh?
