This set was made for a French teacher who is welcoming a little girl into their lives. The client wanted some french words; as I do not know French and sometimes question my English, I hope I got it right. The struggle is real.

A ‘force’ to be reckoned with, in a galaxy far far away, this Star Wars birthday came complete with party hats….

Once a nerd, always a nerd. And for us geeks, there is no day like Pi Day- because math is the only subject that COUNTS…

It’s a BIG DEAL when friends that you play cards with are such fun and so appreciated! Here’s a nice way to let a couple know that they are the king and queen of the card group. A sweet way for the client to say thank you? Yep, ACE’d it.

Not sure of what cookie favors to take into school for her daughter’s birthday, the client sent me several photos of her incredibly adorable six year old for inspiration. One of the photos showed her hugging her favorite stuffed animal bunny. Bunny bonanza! I sketched the idea, passed it by my customer, and was good to go. The bunny cutter was from the MeriMeri 2015 Easter collection. I happened to have a small carrot from R&M Internationla Corp‘s mini veggie cutter set that went perfectly for the look of the favor I was trying to achieve. I am still giggling about the carrot bow tie I gave him…

Here are the bunnies in process. Only 4 colors needed.

And the final presentation of the favors…

I also made 5 folk bunnies for the family to just eat at home (they are amazing and I love my repeat customers!). Playing up the texture…

The photos backgrounds are from the wonderful InkandElmBackdrops.
Harry Potter still has the power to create magical birthdays. And so I hoped it was with this request. I borrowed a little wisdom from Luna to showcase in this set.

My hubby and I have been married for 32 years (so far) and these cookies shipped off to our friends that were there from the very beginning. We had an opportunity to visit their home town after not seeing them for a very, way-too-very long time. The 4 of us were right back to our roots, laughing and exchanging stories like in days gone past. Couldn’t have been more wonderful! But, somewhere along the way, I realized that they had never experienced MamaMayerBakery decorated cookies. Preposterous! To cure that ill, I sent some valentine-ish cookies (it was that time of the year) for the pediatrician’s office where our friend works. She sent me the logo for the Children’s Clinic East to incorporate and my usual way with word play took over.

Carrie and Elizabeth are true book enthusiasts and for their wedding they wanted to create a favor that had that “snuggle.up.with.a.cup.of.joe.and.a.good.read” vibe. The couple had already found some mugs they liked so I wanted to create cookies that would fit into the cup. I thought some nice bookmarks would be clever and asked them to pick a few of their favorite books. I also included one book shaped cookie because I just couldn’t pass up the ‘chapter/page turner’ word play… Here’s the result:
The whole kit-and-kaboodle before they were heat sealed into their bags.

The USA’s presidents are fascinating men (so far, men only) whose stories are filled with folk lure and fact. Abraham Lincoln did NOT want to be called Abe. He loved oysters. And — was enshrined in the Wrestling Hall of Fame wayyyyy after his prowess as a wrestler waned. George W (um, that’s Washington) did NOT have wooden teeth. He did have loads of health issues, though, including his teeth. And he did eventually have them all pulled. Ugh. Maybe his dogs (that he loved, loved, loved) comforted him- being the man’s best friends and all.

Oh, puntastic Valentine season. How I make you groan! This one is for all my single lady (gentlemen) friends. You deserve some cookie love too!
