Wind in the Willows Gala
The Denver Children’s Museum recently had their fundraiser gala and Jaala (Jaala’s Party Pantry) pulled together quite the event based on the book Wind in the Willows !! She thought the main characters come to life on a cookie would add a sweet touch. I tried to keep the personalities of each character in mind when designing the cookie.

These cookies took some time (understatement of the year) but when you have a design in mind and they are going to a great cause… Some day I will make myself do simple designs. But not today. To give you an feel for how a cookie comes to be, here are the steps for the rat (after baking, base flooding, and air brushing the cookies) ….

Caroline and Donnell had a fairy tale romance so their wedding favors had to step it up to shine like this beautiful couple!! Caroline chose two different designs; both had parchment colored background and a white floral to mimic their invitations. She couldn’t decide between “Mr & Mrs” or “hello LOVE” so why not have both!

Some people who are near and dear to me are/were teachers so I have a special place in my heart of those who guide us toward critical thinking. My 2017 gift box for the classroom teacher is right/write track.
And it all adds up for cookies that are calculated to make the math teacher smile….

Mother’s Day 2017 brings attention to that mom who is fine and fancy, who directed the movie that was your youth, made things feel just right and comfy. Thanks for schooling us, Mom. We cherish you.

Spent the afternoon with the Colorado logo. Pac Man’s cousin. Eating up our plentiful sunshine!
Artistic Expression
Where does your mind go when it wanders? What do you think of when you take a walk, or are waiting for sleep, or are in the shower? I have a certain, um, inclination to think about cookie concepts. I have often wondered if cookies are into me as much as I am into them.
This set started with someone saying a famous artist’s name just a little wrong. My mind took it to “Vincent Van Goat” and the cookie set took on a life of it’s own.
Hands Down
So many interested stories to cookie.fy. There were on a field trip to VA, far away from CO, when it happened. Let’s just say it involved a nail, her daughter’s pointer and middle fingers, and the emergency room. At least she is a lefty and the injuries were on the right hand… These cookies were a thank you to the administrator who took wonderful care of her, while keeping the parents appraised of the situation. The daughter and caretaker missed the tour of Mt Vernon- thus the inclusion of President Washington.
