I before E

A little irony before the end of the year. The English language both/often perplexes and amazes me.  2018 sure had some unique word choices.   ….exceptions to the rule or exceptional?

GOBBLE.lets

Smaller cookies, a couple of bites in the eating, were requested this year.  Pondering what a bunch of small sized turkeys, baby turkeys if you will, would be called in the MMB world … I settled on gobble.lets or  goblets for short.  (okay, technically baby turkeys are called poult.  But I didn’t want anything even remotely associated with pouting around my poultry…).  Set in the colors of autumn (mixtures of Americolor egg yellow, orange, terra cotta, chocolate brown and wedgewood blue), I channeled random visions of Thanksgiving crafts over the years.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Can Do Attitude

John Atkinson, over at Wrong Hands, has me in stitches. Chortling, nonstop.  The way this man thinks is right up my alley. And yes, I have asked to use his cartoons as a jumping off point for cookies. I may or may not have requested permission and then bribed him with cookies. In any case, this set started with inspiration from the brilliant brain of John and modified with some Mayer mania.  It was my set to encourage someone that they could do it!  It’s all about the CAN do attitude.
