Hello Hall.OH.ween in 2017

One might say that I am a bit sPUNky at Halloween. No BONES about it…

This particular set is in Sister Bay, WI , participating in the GoBo cookie sale  (funds used in the fight against childhood cancer). Massive quantities of good looking sugar. October 13-15.  If you are near by, please consider supporting the cause!

So Engaging

There is so much more to being engaged now than when I was going through that moment of my life. Now there are fun ways to ask friends and family to be in the bridal party (ahem, like cookie boxes!) and the wonderful news is celebrated with engagement parties.  Definitely showing my age by becoming aware of such norms just within the past year or two…

A wonderful repeat customer’s daughter just became engaged and I was so happy to create the “will you be my bridesmaid” boxes and the cookies for the engagement party.  Thanks Jennifer!!!

Train of Thought

The theme for this 2 year old’s birthday was vintage trains. I used ivory Americolor gel as a base, letting the cookies dry overnight.  I started by airbrushing the blue stripes on the vintage train cookies.  I then “aged” all of the cookies by using a stiff brush and terra cotta dry powder, applied randomly around the edges of the cookies. You could also use a light airbrush coat instead.

The rest of the decorating involved royal icing, stamps, and those Rainbow Dust edible pens! I’d CHOO.CHOOse these cute designs for any train themed party!
