I prefer not to use the description “old, ” especially when celebrating my sister’s birthday. “Vintage” is proper, I believe. A brilliant positive connotation. She is sensational at 60! Would I go so far as to call us sexy? Perhaps not, but the sass level has never diminished.

A few of my favorite friends hit the half century mark this year; God forbid I miss an opportunity to jest. I thought a little sweetness would go well with the 50 black balloons , etc that mysteriously appeared at their homes. And who doesn’t love an old fashioned candy gram…
My niece had her ceremony at the beautiful Moonstone Manor in Pennsylvania. Mary couldn’t have looked more radiant and Jimmy any more pleased! Her bridesmaids wore an eggplant/plum color that was used throughout the setting. Thus the cookie color along with the happy couple’s monogram.
I scream, you scream. It might as well be for ice cream. Yum.

“Periodically,” (ha, get it?) my inner nerd comes out and plays. The perfect opportunity arose with Alyssa’s graduation party. Beautiful, bright and talented, Alyssa has quite the affinity for book learning and the sciences. Although I couldn’t fit the entire periodic table of elements into the cake box, it was close enough. Hope you enjoy my symbiotic semblance of sugar and science. PS. Good luck at Boston College; go, Lys, go!

This tray was a request for a grad party… I didn’t ask questions. Why? Because social media is “the only place I can talk to a Wall and not look like an idiot.” (And for those of you who remember the 80’s) It has mores “likes” than a valley girl. Hhmmm.
