It’s a BIG DEAL when friends that you play cards with are such fun and so appreciated! Here’s a nice way to let a couple know that they are the king and queen of the card group. A sweet way for the client to say thank you? Yep, ACE’d it.

Not sure of what cookie favors to take into school for her daughter’s birthday, the client sent me several photos of her incredibly adorable six year old for inspiration. One of the photos showed her hugging her favorite stuffed animal bunny. Bunny bonanza! I sketched the idea, passed it by my customer, and was good to go. The bunny cutter was from the MeriMeri 2015 Easter collection. I happened to have a small carrot from R&M Internationla Corp‘s mini veggie cutter set that went perfectly for the look of the favor I was trying to achieve. I am still giggling about the carrot bow tie I gave him…

Here are the bunnies in process. Only 4 colors needed.

And the final presentation of the favors…

I also made 5 folk bunnies for the family to just eat at home (they are amazing and I love my repeat customers!). Playing up the texture…

The photos backgrounds are from the wonderful InkandElmBackdrops.
The USA’s presidents are fascinating men (so far, men only) whose stories are filled with folk lure and fact. Abraham Lincoln did NOT want to be called Abe. He loved oysters. And — was enshrined in the Wrestling Hall of Fame wayyyyy after his prowess as a wrestler waned. George W (um, that’s Washington) did NOT have wooden teeth. He did have loads of health issues, though, including his teeth. And he did eventually have them all pulled. Ugh. Maybe his dogs (that he loved, loved, loved) comforted him- being the man’s best friends and all.

Oh, puntastic Valentine season. How I make you groan! This one is for all my single lady (gentlemen) friends. You deserve some cookie love too!
Okay. So it’s actually “a hunk,” “a hunk,” AND burning “love.” Should have made them peanut butter flavor for the King. No matter. Elvis has left the building. Special thanks to the great Callye Alvarado (the Sweet Adventures of Sugarbelle) for the original tutorial and hunky torso idea!

This valentine is for all those fishermen (or women) out there. Valentine’s Day is the season of puns so I’ve SCALED up my production.

Who doesn’t love a cheesy Valentine? Well, this is certainly one of my GRATEst ever. So zesty. Ripping the word play to shreds!

My cookie version of games that reindeer might play…

Oh the wonder of words and idioms. My fascination with the blend of visual and verbal art continues. Can you hear the sleigh bells ring, as you listen? Cookies hand painted and trimmed with Rainbow Dust edible ink pens. Background mat from InkandElmBackrops.
