Flip Side

Okay.  This birthday girl is one of the most adorable ever, full of personality and charm.  Her mom wanted something sweet and age appropriate for her gymnastics themed party.  Both boys and girls would be attending the celebration so I included a cartwheel guy too.  The little girl designs were purchased through sweet Preciosa Barbaran’s Etsy shop, 1EverythingNice.

Background stencils came from The Cookie Countess and Killer Zebras. This gold was Wilton’s gold mist (found at WalMart or Michael’s).

Pardon my French

This set was made for a French teacher who is welcoming a little girl into their lives.  The client wanted some french words; as I do not know French and sometimes question my English, I hope I got it right.  The struggle is real.

GRATEst Valentine Ever

Who doesn’t love a cheesy Valentine? Well, this is certainly one of my GRATEst ever.  So zesty.  Ripping the word play to shreds!

FOWL Play

My sister has been hosting Thanksgiving for untold number of years and it it is my God given duty to bring cookies for the dessert table.  Usually, that table is quite full so this year I made turkeys just for the kids (by that I mean mentally a kid so it qualifies a few more folks than you would think). These cookies combined The Cookie Architect designed wave cutter with a small candy corn cutter (both found at the wonderful Truly Mad Plastics web site.) The colors utilized were Americolor egg yellow, orange, chocolate, and sky blue (each icing batch had a drop of egg yellow gel to balance all of the hues).

Oh yeah.  And one of the turkeys is not like the others.  Getting my Sesame Street on.

LEGENDARY Birthday

Don’t we all hope for a birthday celebration that has a place in the history books? (um. I guess I’m not an introvert…)  Well clear off the tabletops and hop on up for this legendary celebration set.  I was inspired by a trip to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science; they are running an exhibit on Mythical creatures.  Wicked cool and culturally enriching.  And germinated the seeds of an “epic” birthday set….

Jellyvision

Our youngest interned at Jellyvision this summer and had a stinkin’ blast! Learned a ton and so, so enjoyed the folks there.  I think I want to work there when I grow up.  Jellyvision has these adorable characters, blobbies, they use as part of their communication tools.  Yeah, I didn’t know what a blobby was either but, one look,  and I knew they were meant to grace the cover of a cookie.  Here’s part of the last.week.sweet.treats she took in…

University of Florida

Had a request to make cookies for a young lady heading to the University of Florida.  How can you say no to a GATOR? Because I needed a very quick turn around on making these cookies,  I opted for some logos using simple edible pens and stencils to compliment the traditional royal icing decorating.

So Cheesy

A dear friend works as a “cheese guru” for Wegmans (utterly fantastic grocery store, for those who do not live in the northeast).  As she was approaching a milestone birthday, I wanted to send her something to lighten the mood.  You know, to encourage her to BRIE all that she could BRIE.  Go a little CRACKERS on her big day….
